Eugene has practised exclusively in corporate and commercial law since 1990. His principal areas of practice are:
- Corporate finance, including initial public offers, securities exchange listings, capital management and recapitalisations.
- Takeovers, mergers and acquisitions including cross border transactions, multi jurisdictional due diligence and corporate restructuring.
- Private equity, including private equity funds and private equity style investments (such as management buy outs and buy ins).
- Advising listed public companies on issues including corporate governance, securities exchange listing rules and staff and executive incentive schemes.
- Renewable energy and climate change issues including the trading of green rights.
Eugene has a wide range of industry experience including energy and resources, the credit union movement, pooled development funds, technology commercialisation (including biotechnology), property development, franchising and agribusiness.
Eugene is experienced in international and cross border transactions and negotiations. He speaks fluent Cantonese.
