Andrew is a Law Institute accredited specialist in planning and environment law.
Having worked for four years as an in-house Counsel at the City of Melbourne, Andrew has extensive experience in local government law. He acts for a number of Councils, developers, objectors and statutory authorities in a range of planning and environment matters.
Andrew appears regularly at VCAT and at Planning Panels Victoria as instructing solicitor and advocate. He provides advice regarding the interpretation and enforcement of planning schemes. Andrew also advises clients on property related matters such as compulsory acquisition, land valuation, native title and road ownership and management.
Andrew's environmental law expertise includes environmental impact assessment, the development and use of contaminated land and Environment Protection Authority approvals and prosecutions. He has drafted submissions to Government on various aspects of environmental law.
Andrew also lectures on planning law at the University of Melbourne.
