Mike acts for listed and unlisted entities, co-operatives, local government organisations and closely held companies.
Mike acts for the major retail supermarket in New Zealand, a co-operative that is operating a franchise model. He also acts for franchisors, both national and international, in the fast food, entertainment, finance and services sectors. He helps establish franchise networks from inception and helps overseas businesses enter the New Zealand market.
Mike also advises on numerous share and asset acquisitions for local and overseas clients (particularly UK clients) and the associated restructuring. Many of the acquisitions he has been involved in have been in the commercial printing industry, where he was acting for New Zealand's largest commercial printer.
Mike also provides corporate governance advice and assistance with commercial contracts including joint ventures, supply and distribution contracts, outsourcing and procurement contracts tendering and IT related contracts.
